Locker Decor

So we have decided to decorate R's locker on the DIY. We went to Dollar General and Target. R of course wants a chandler which I have so far managed to talk her out of. She seems to think her locker will be dark. I will post pictures after we decorate. 

To do DIY or purchase products for locker decorations.

So my dd is going to middle school and apparently it's a popular thing to decorate your locker. At least for the girls. Well after scouring the web and checking out the local stores I'm just not willing to spend $$$ on this stuff. So I pinned a few items and feel like its a better route to go. One pinned suggested getting items from PB Teen, and the dollar store. Well I checked out PB Teen and sorry I'm not spending the money there either. So it looks like we're going to Dollar Tree, Dollar General or whichever and figuring this out DIY style. Middle School oh I'm not ready for this........

So this past weekend we got this postcard in the mail. It's for my dd "R" she's off to middle school this coming school year. She seems to be totally unfazed by this transition, but me on the other hand I'm terrified. Now don't go laughing at me that I'm terrified. It's just this isn't Kindergarten and I can't keep the world away as much as I could in elementary. Don't get me wrong I want her to experince the world and face all the challenges as a strong young lady. I'm just not ready for her to grow up. 

Riley & Girl Scouts

Riley became a Junior Girl Scout in May.  It's a big accomplishment for us.  Riley loves girl scouts and is really looking forward to camp this summer. Can't wait to hear about all the fun she has.

Summer Fun

My sweet girl here. She is my mini me and she is really a joy in my life.

Riley has had a great summer so far . Going to daycare and field trips and VBS this summer what could be more fun. I have managed to keep her reading all summer long and I do think she is beginning to enjoy it.

We are looking into swim team for Riley this school year along with Gymnastics and Girl Scouts. We will have a busy year ahead of us.

The First Day of School for Riley

Well today was the first day of school for Riley. It was a usual morning. We had our usual morning routine with Riley. Up for a morning bike ride, back for the shower , on with breakfast , and making lunch. Then the little stinker has to go and lays on the couch when she needed to go and get her teeth brushed and her hair brushed. So of course we rushed right out of the house in time to wait for the bus.

Well the bus was 35 min. late picking up the kids. Which meant the kids were late to school on the first day. That and they were more than sweaty and stinky I am sure. It had to have been 85 degrees outside this morning. I am ok with me being the reason she's late but not the school bus. Surely they had them practice their routes before the first day. (Ok that is my rant for now).

OOOOOHHHH those Darn Doctors

OOOOHHHH those darn Doctors. Baby girl has had testing done for ADHD and we are going to meet with her Pediatrician to discuss treatment for her. Well the darn Psychologist has not returned my 6 phone calls asking for the report to give to her doctor. I am made beyond belief.

At least the Psychologist could return my phone calls. OOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Riley's birthday party

Ok so I haven't kept up with the blog. So here is my sad attempt at doing it.

Isn't this a great picture of Riley. I wish I could say I took it but I didn't. My gal pal Deanna took it for me as I was tending to a birthday party for Riley. More to come on the birthday party but I thought I would share.

Look at all the Brownie Try-It's she earned

So baby girl is a Browine Girl Scout and she just loves it. Her Daddy claims I forced her into it but really I didn't. Besides every girl needs to have the opportunity to sell Girl Scout cookies. (that is another blog another day.) The Try It's are in her right hand. The other patches are for cookie sales and different activities they went to.

Anyway enough of the ramblings of the blog creator. On to the purpose of the blog. Baby girl and her Brownie Try-It's. Don't even ask me what all of them are but she worked hard to earn them. And sadly enough I was probably at the meeting or event where she earned them. Would you believe they have all kinds of Try It's. They have a sewing one , goal setting, and safety. Pretty interesting to know.

So what do you do when your kid has bad school pictures

Ok so this is a bit late in the coming but hey I am new to this whole blog thing.

So baby girl has Spring School pictures done right. I go to all the trouble of making sure she is dressed cute and all and what happens?

We get this lovely picture back when they finally come in.

Anyway I am such a sucker for the kid I buy the whole stupid set of these pictures. Oh well it's not like they are her Senior Pictures right!

I still have twelve years for that. Thank GOD!
